Be brave enough to walk alone!

Do you walk with a 'worldly-in-crowd' or are you brave enough to standout and walk according to God's righteous Word?

God calls us as practicing Christian Believers to be different, set apart for a greater purpose, a righteous purpose.

Although God calls us to be different from the world, we are not to be in opposition to people, instead we should be examples of a 'better way' to live in relationships with others and Christ himself.

"The hardest walk is walking alone, but it's also the walk which makes you the STRONGEST."

How do WE practically set ourselves apart and walk in a better way?

Here are a few ways we can practice walking according to God's Word ourselves, and in doing so, show others how not to walk in the ways of the world.

  • We model our thoughts, actions and words on God's example as found in the Bible.

  • We travel the (sometimes lonely) narrow path - not the broad crowded one. That is to say, we are not swayed by the worlds truth's no matter how many people believe that truth, we stick to the "unpopular" truths that we know to be true because God's Word tells us so!

  • We dare to love the "un-loveable's" and "unpopular" people in our circles of influence BUT we do not become like them.

  • We show others the way - we let them know that we will be praying for their situation, invite them to Fellowship with us.

  • We extend grace and forgiveness to those that we think don't deserve it (reminder: we "ALL" fall short and are sinful) or have hurt us.

  • When asked why we don't gossip, do drugs, party or sleep around, we explain why we don't, we lead them to the sin and we explain that sin has consequences - ALWAYS!

Pin Me!

We have prime examples in the Bible of how most of the greatest names who are written about were unpopular with the people of that day, including the greatest of them all, Jesus Himself!

Perhaps you will never be an Esther or a Ruth - but wherever you are, you can influence other people to walk with God, not with the world.
