5 Marks of a Righteous Woman ...

What does a 'righteous' woman's life look like? How does she act? What does she focus her time on? Join me to look at five marks of a righteous woman's life.

I simply love the quote below - what a reminder of how a righteous woman have changed the trajectory of the world's history - Mary, Rahab, Ruth .... the list goes on!

1. A righteous woman watches her words ...

A righteous woman watchers her thoughts, words and intentions and weighs them against God's Word not the worlds. To remind myself to be mindful of my thoughts and words, I have a poster of the acronym T.H.I.N.K posted on my office wall and a smaller version tacked to my computer screen - it has stopped me opening my mouth and using harsh words on several occasions!

Before you speak - THINK - is it:

• True

• Helpful

• Inspiring

• Necessary

• Kind

2. A righteous woman knows her destiny ...

As a #redeemed woman, a righteous woman knows her destiny is to one day be crowned with glory and honour that surpasses even angels.

"Yet, you made them (you) only a little lower than God and crowned them (you) with glory and honour." Psalm 8:5

Understanding the #scripture above should change the way we view the world around us AND change our walk through this life.

3. A righteous woman wisely manages her 'ecosystem' ...

She is a good manager of her household and God's resources, she looks after the pets, recycles, reuses, re-purposes and does not abuse God's earth. Amen!

"You gave them (you) charge of everything you made, putting all things under their (your) authority ..." Psalm 8:6

4. A righteous woman 'knows' God ...

Do you know your husband or your Bestie well? I am sure you do - that is because you have spent time with them and have come to understand and know their character traits. A righteous woman seeks to learn God's character as made known in His Word - this underpins her beliefs, her actions, her thoughts, her words, her life!

5. A righteous woman praises and shares God with others ...

A righteous woman praises God with her whole heart - her entire being is directed in affection towards God, so she tells others of His marvellous works.

"I will praise You, LORD with all my heart, I will tell of all the marvellous things You have done." Psalm 9:1

"I constantly tell others about the wonderful things You do." Psalm 71:17b
